Pay for this position is determined by the Special Services Salary Schedule and is based on education and experience. Starting salary range is $57,827 -$59,087Benefits:

This is a four-year grant-funded position that's now entering year three, focused on social-emotional support for an identified caseload of students.Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required and Master's degree preferred, or be working on credentials in social work or counseling.Experience:
1-3 years preferredLicenses/Certificates:
Colorado Department of Education License in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or the ability to apply.Other Criteria:
Criminal background check required for hire Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students, and the public. Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities. Integrity, trust, and a work ethic that enable work with little supervision. Competent understanding of technology to perform the job. Must pass pre-employment physical Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs) Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of district data Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts for the various district systems and applications. Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel. (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.) Reporting to the principal, the Engagement Specialist supports the effective implementation of tiered, trauma-informed services and supports for students identified as at-risk students. This person follows the lead of the engagement specialist lead and helps create, adapt, and monitor tiered supports within the school and provides technical assistance and best practices to school staff to promote students' social-emotional development and well-being using a trauma-informed approach. The Engagement Specialist will work collaboratively with stakeholders—including administrators, principals, counselors, teachers, parents, and community partners—to coordinate tiered supports for students.Specific duties include the following:
. Progress-monitor all students identified for EARSS programming using the BIMAS progress-monitoring tool to determine the appropriate tiers of support for each student. Deliver direct support and services to students identified for EARSS, including small group and individual support. Monitor social-emotional and behavioral data for identified students. Progress-monitor students' social-emotional growth using the BIMAS tool. Partner with identified students and their families to collaboratively design tailored supports based on student needs and family context, with the Engagement Specialist serving as a liaison. Progress-monitor the implementation of SEL strategies within the classrooms. Communicate the progress of the EARSS program and provide quarterly data updates to the Building Accountability Committee.Skills, Knowledge, Equipment & Other:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist, from waist to overhead, from waist to floor, and from overhead to floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a school setting. Travel from site to site may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and outdoor weather. The noise level in the work environment ranges from generally quiet to increased when working events or with equipment occasionally. Must be able to work in person.Mental Functions:
