  • For eligible positions About the Job To provide direct operational oversight of vocational programs including small group supported employment and/or community integration services with individuals.
To function as a job developer, job coach, and activity planner for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities The ability to work a flexible schedule of 40 hours or more including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, as well as the ability to oversee and supervise a team working flexible hours. The ability to oversee, teach, and support Employment Specialists/Vocational Specialists. Ability to manage employees, provide progressive corrective action and mentorship. Ability to manage employees' schedules and ensure billable work quotas are met. Ability to teach employees and manage independent job skills and requirements using job task analysis and job specific supports, including assistive technology and personal assistance. Ability to provide Employment Services, Job Coaching, Functional Skills training, and Transition services to participants. An understanding of the services within vocational services, including but not limited to quality assurance, compliance and billing structure. The ability to travel to various vocational programs within New Jersey and Delaware. Ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings with consumers, counselors, and other stakeholders. Provide transportation in personal vehicle, if needed. Ability to develop, maintain, manage, and grow relationships with businesses and organizations. Maintaining compliance with funding source standards including required documentation, daily logs, weekly reports, calendars, and incident reports for the services provided. Displaying the ability to think calmly and clearly during an emergency and assist individuals in medical facilities during medical emergencies. Promoting and maintaining the positive public image of Allies Inc. Successfully completing required residential training, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation; CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience and Services; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law); Stephen Komninos' Law; Crisis Management; Corporate Compliance; General Behavior; In-House Orientation; and other required trainings. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in accepting other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of human services from an accredited college or university plus one (1) year of experience in human services or employment services; or have an Associate's degree in the field of human services from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of experience in the field of human services or employment services. Be familiar with the demands and expectations of business and industry. Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record Proof of valid auto insurance coverage. Ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, be agile, physically pursue clients on foot and stand for several hours at a time The ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English and direct/respond to client's needs Basic Computer Literacy
