Job Description

In alignment with the University of Florida's academic mission, the Career & Integrated Partnerships Portfolio (CIP), within the Division of Student Life, supports campus-wide efforts to advance students' career design, experiential learning, and post-graduation success. The Career Connections Center seeks a Manager for Career Data, Technology, and Engagement to lead the operational implementation and growth of scalable student engagement technologies and initiatives across the Career and Integrative Partnership portfolio. In partnership with colleges and departments, this role consults on embedding online career design resources into curriculum, co-curricular programs, and student engagement efforts. The Manager identifies training needs, develops targeted training materials, and delivers professional development to support faculty, staff, and campus partners in leveraging career technologies effectively. Manages the day-to-day operations of a function on the team by implementing and growing the "Career and Workforce" initiative to support student success outcomes using technology tools such as Symplicity etc.. Manages the day-to-day functionality, adoption strategy, and user experience of institutional career outcomes and engagement data to inform strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and institutional reporting. Advances the integration of job market data into the student experience by collaborating across teams to embed relevant data into career planning tools, workshops, course-based activities, and digital content. Monitors engagement analytics, user behavior trends, and platform utilization to inform workflow refinement and adoption strategies. Directs the work of indirect and direct reports. Supports the university's visibility and impact. Manages vendor relationships for assigned technologies, ensuring proper implementation of system updates, monitoring system health, and promoting data-informed usage best practices. (35%) Serves as a point of contact for faculty and staff in the Division portfolio and campus to support initiatives to aid student success, departmental goals, experiential learning, professional development engagements, and post-graduation outcomes using tools like the UF Graduation Survey and other dashboards. This support includes outreach presentations, workshops, office support hours, and other efforts. Creates internal resources and delivers training that equips faculty and staff to effectively integrate assigned initiatives into programs, workshops, and 1:1 engagement. Builds relationships and creates connections across departments to advance the university's overall mission. Maintains regular communication with portfolio partners through appropriate channels and attends meetings with staff at all levels for the exchange of information and integration into programs and services. Establishes internal best practices, and support to CIP staff, and recommends system enhancements based on data and user feedback. (25%) Tracks data and reporting related to job functions and engagement responsibilities. Maintains and exchanges quantitative and qualitative data for assessment, reporting, usage, service participation, and reporting purposes to demonstrate impact for departments. Creates regular reporting structures and summaries to highlight trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and support decision-making for leadership. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of career development trends and best practices. (20%) Provides individual and group career coaching services to University of Florida undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from all majors and colleges; at times also supporting alumni. Facilitate customized outreach, classroom presentations, and tabling opportunities associated with the assigned initiative area and related career development topics in support of the center's strategic plan. Engages with campus partners (i.e., alumni, staff, faculty, employers, families) to promote student success, interventions, readiness tools and professional development programming. Use existing foundational departmental and marketing resources for customization of programs and initiatives, as needed. (15%) Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Director and higher authorities in the department and division. Attends departmental sessions, staff meetings and one-on-one supervision meetings to ensure clear communication with colleagues and supervisors. Support department, portfolio, and/or division-wide all-hands-on-deck events, committees and programs. Lives out unit and institutional values in all aspects of job function. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate field and two years of experience or a bachelor's degree and four years of related experience. Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) within first year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Master's degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR)
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career counseling, or
HR KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of industry relations, employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies SKILLS Skilled in computer applications Facilitative skills - Interpersonal skills Good presentations skills, listening skills, helping skills, relationship management, and program development

WORK SCHEDULE
Hours of operations and work expectations for Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Schedule may vary based upon time of the year and tasks performed Some evening and weekend activities will occur based on student populations needs and stakeholder engagement
