Job Description
OLA Language School is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities by providing adult ESL classes, career services, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs. As a key member of the team, the Career Services, IET & Workplace Literacy Coordinator plays a dynamic, multifaceted role designed to drive adult student advancement, foster community workforce partnerships, and ensure smooth evening campus operations at the Marietta site. Working directly with program leadership, this position combines direct classroom instruction, individual career counseling, and employer outreach with hands-on administrative and operational leadership during evening adult education programs. Highlights of Responsibilities This position serves as the primary on-site staff lead for Monday and Wednesday evening programs. Additionally, the role provides comprehensive assistance during Tuesday and Thursday evening Intake and Orientation sessions, delivering student policy overviews, leading program introductions, and supporting TABE testing setup and administration. To expand career pathways, the Caree Service Coordinator actively identifies, cultivates, and builds partnerships with local businesses and community organizations. These workplace literacy initiatives help adult learners develop key workforce skills, align training with regional labor market demands, and access better employment opportunities. Alongside partner outreach, the role delivers direct Career Services (CSS) by conducting workshops on resume building, interview techniques, aworkplace rights, etc. As the designated instructor for Integrated Education & Training (IET), the Coordinator teaches ServSafe Manager certification cohorts, manages exam logistics, tracks student eligibility, and maintains accurate attendance records.
