We are looking to hire a Part-Time Career Services Advisor for our Cedar Rapids location ! This position requires an associate's degree or two years of study from a college/university, and one year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training. Our Career Services Advisor works with community members who would like assistance with career planning and certification training. Advisors help community members in job search activities, building computer skills, and other skill development opportunities! This position provides skill assessments for each job seeker to assist them in locating resources and tools for their desired goals, as well as maintaining and using that knowledge. Career Services Advisors assist job seekers in securing employment in the community by aiding with basic job search activities, resume writing, skill workshops, interview skills, and other employment activities. This position also assists with building and maintaining partnerships with area businesses, organizations, and schools to represent and market Goodwill resources to fit workforce needs. Competitive PTO Qualifications:
An Associate's degree or two years of study completed from a college/university is required. One year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training is required. An additional year of employment in a related field may be substituted. Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance required Successful completion of a motor vehicle, child/elder dependent abuse background check, and sex offender registry check required Demonstrable literacy in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams/Zoom, and other computer skills required The Career Services Advisor position has a starting wage of $18.82 per hour. The anticipated schedule will be Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 5:00pm with some flexibility required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
