Substance Use Peer Recovery Specialist Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma required. Have IODAPCA certification or have qualifications to obtain certification within two years of hiring date and at minimum one year of recovery are required. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the families we serve. Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Week Job Duties:

Follow up services after a patient is discharged from residential treatment, collaboration with DCFS, housing, food, support and individual and family counseling responsibilities. May work in the court systems. Must make community outreach contacts to potential referral sources. Provide in service or addiction education to community groups. Participate in weekly program meetings and general staffing. Maintain documentation in client records as required by
