Full Job Description About Give Back:
Give Back supports students who have faced significant adversities, guiding them toward long-term success in a safe and caring community. We focus on young people who have experienced the child welfare system, homelessness, traumatic crimes, the incarceration of a parent, and/or other significant adversities.
Position Overview:
Success Coaches advise and guide students who are enrolled in the program. The coach will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with students and assisting students in the development of their goals and objectives through the Student Action Plan and will assist with collecting required information from students. A strong coach will be able to help the students meet and exceed their goals and must have excellent communication and engagement skills while paying attention to detail. Accurate record keeping is a requirement, and candidates must be comfortable with navigating our computer systems. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversees the coaching and case management of Give Back students and works closely with students in developing student action plans and career action plans.
  • Maintain regular (bi-weekly) contact with students in their case load.
  • Attend local, regional and national (online) events that are required for students.
  • Participate in all staff training.
  • Document program activities, collect data such as grades from students, and track progress metrics
  • Maintain online student records and keeping them up to date
  • Provides team support to local projects and events including Give Back Signature Events, field trips, resource fairs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to support Give Back programming locally and nationally.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in related field or demonstrated experience coaching students.
  • Experience working with students; however, experience working with underserved youth is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of or experience working in or with schools strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.
  • Background check (State child abuse/neglect check, Federal background check, public domain search, national criminal background check).
Compensation:
  • This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with a rate of $25.48 - $27.40 per hour. Based on comparable experience.
