Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Vocational Services & Supported Employment Administrator, involves helping individuals develop job search strategies, improve employability skills, and overcome barriers to employment. It also provides Supported Employment client assessment, job assessment, job site assessment, job development and placement, one-on-one intensive training, and follow along.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide career coaching, including resume and cover letter creation & review, job search strategies, interview preparation, and networking guidance. Assist clients in enhancing digital literacy, applying for jobs online, and using technology for job searches, etc. Monitor job placement outcomes and provide ongoing support to ensure job retention and success. Maintains a rolling case load, maintaining communication with clients and handling client information in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Identify potential barriers to employment, such as transportation, childcare, or language skills, and connect clients with appropriate community resources or support services. Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers, industry partners, and community organizations to identify job leads and opportunities. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, employment status updates, and case files. Prepare and submit regular reports on client outcomes, job placements, and program effectiveness to management. Provide referrals to community partners via Unite Us platform to ensure participants are connected to additional support and services. Assist with conducting employment readiness workshops, job club activities, and provide one-on-one coaching as needed at both on-site Goodwill locations and off-site community partner locations. Travel to multiple locations as needed. Assist with the community service program to include intake, scheduling, documentation, and monitoring. Assist with Supported Employment Job Coaching in the following areas: To provide all aspects of on-the-job training to individuals with intellectual disabilities tasks, including but not limited to, job site modifications; instructional fading; advocacy for integrated work settings; systematic, documented method of follow-up services; behavior management techniques for task acquisition and job maintenance; demonstrate job duties; observes client performing tasks to ensure understanding; reassign individuals to simpler tasks when clients cannot perform assigned tasks To provide timely and accurate reporting of client progress to referral and funding sources To supervise and coordinate activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities in an individual or group setting in order to train and improve their vocational skills. To perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, preferably with some college or further training. Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(Competencies): Ability to work a flexible schedule of day and evening hours. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing while having excellent observational & listening skills. Ability to maintain rapport with others both inside and outside the organization. Familiar with people with barriers needs, concerns and alternate problem solving. Be able to empathize with and show compassion. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including the ability to navigate company software, email, and Microsoft Office applications to effectively perform the essential functions of the position. Must have access to personal transportation for use to conduct approved Goodwill business. Must be able to pass MVR checks and provide proof of a valid Driver's license and personal auto insurance.
