About the
Role:
Seven Hills Foundation is seeking six full-time Activities Specialists to support individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence and reaching their fullest potential. Activities Specialists will develop and lead individual and group activities, provide personal care assistance, support community participation, and help individuals build skills in accordance with their Individual Support Plans. This is a Monday-Friday position with a consistent schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position is located at 22 Grant Road, Devens, MA 01434. No weekends or on-call responsibilities are required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead individual and group activities that promote skill development, independence, personal choice, and community integration
  • Provide personal care assistance, including dining, toileting, transfers, and daily activities, while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety
  • Provide programming in art, technology, health and wellness, recreation, social interaction, and vocational training
  • Implement Individual Support Plans and behavior management strategies developed with the clinical team
  • Support transportation to activities, appointments, and community-based events as needed
  • Document participant progress, services provided, and relevant observations accurately and on time
  • Conduct satisfaction surveys and assist with evaluating the effectiveness of programs and activities
  • Encourage individuals to develop skills, broaden their interests, and participate meaningfully in their communities
  • Participate in committees, staff meetings, training, and professional development activities
  • Collaborate with coworkers, clinical staff, families, and community partners
  • Promote a supportive environment based on personal choice, self-determination, dignity, and respect
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • At least one year of related experience required; one to three years preferred
  • Valid standard Class C or Class D driver?s license
  • Ability to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, or brain injury
  • Ability to assist with personal care, transfers, transportation, and daily activities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, inclusion, and community participation
Compensation:
  • Hourly pay: \$20.50
  • Full-time employment
  • Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m
  • 3:30 p.m.
