Job Description

Essex North Shore is seeking a School Adjustment Counselor to start immediately. Satisfactory CORI, SORI, and SAFIS.

MA DESE licensure required. LMHC or LICSW preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):

Provide school-based counseling services focused on social-emotional skill development, as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Accommodation Plans, and/or for students receiving general education services.

Collaborate with educators, support staff, families, and other members of the student support team to develop and implement appropriate interventions for students in need.

Provide school-based crisis intervention and support services to identified students.

Support the development and implementation of programs, activities, and initiatives that promote student engagement, belonging, and a positive school climate.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation and complete all required paperwork in accordance with district and school policies, as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Maintain consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance, recognizing that regular presence is essential to providing effective student support and supervision.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of School Counseling and Admissions and/or the Director of Special Education.
