GRADUATION MENTOR REPORTS TO
Director of Student Resource Center
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Not to exceed 20 hours per week A high school graduation mentor will work with students, families, and staff to provide supportive interventions to students who are at risk for dropping out.
EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT
As soon as possible after posting period closes.
SALARY:
REQUIREMENTS
$25.00 per hour, or the hourly collective bargaining rate if applicable A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred. Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license, preferred. Experience working with adolescents. Demonstrated technology proficiency to produce, manage, and use various data collection tools. Knowledge of or ability to learn X2 Aspen and other technology tools. Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with school-based administrators to identify student caseload and maintain a process for referrals for current or incoming high school students. Meet with students and families to identify potential barriers to success. Utilize current data systems. Communicate with school personnel and community partners. Identify and enlist alternative pathways as deemed appropriate and assist students in accessing resources. Participate in school-based and home meetings and conduct home visits. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Resource Center
