Job Overview:

We are seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will use their lived experience to support and guide clients through the recovery process, providing encouragement, resources, and advocacy. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist at Enriching Lives, you will be an integral part of our mission to empower individuals toward sustained recovery and improved well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide peer support to clients in recovery, fostering a welcoming and encouraging environment. Share personal experiences with recovery as appropriate to inspire hope and demonstrate the possibility of recovery. Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources and coping strategies. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other team members to develop comprehensive client support plans. Advocate for clients' needs and help them navigate recovery and community resources. Facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions focused on recovery topics, skill-building, and wellness. Document interactions and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist in the state of Maryland. Lived experience with substance use or mental health recovery, with a strong commitment to the recovery model. Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills. Ability to work empathetically and collaboratively with clients and colleagues. Basic understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in behavioral health services.
