Job Description

The purpose of this class is to serve as a point of contact for students requesting career services. Master's degree in Psychology, Education or related field required. Three (3) years' experience in Career Counseling, Student Personnel Services, Advising/Counseling or Student Development required. The position will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Positions are located on the Catonsville and Essex campuses Provide one-on-one career counseling to a diverse student population. Provide individual and group instruction to students on resume preparation, interviewing techniques and job search strategies. Administer and interpret career assessments. Regularly use Focus2 and Career Coach in your work with students and others. Assist students with career decision-making and selecting a major/program of study. Design and deliver career related workshops and classroom presentations. Incorporate social media and technology in marketing of career services and events. Develop and implement career and job networking opportunities for students. Collaborate with colleagues on planning and execution of events such as career fairs, job fairs, Academic Pathways and other relevant college events. Stay current on career services trends and labor market information; maintain up to date career information and resources. Incorporate TEAMS and other online/virtual career service delivery methods. Utilize College Central for information on Student Employment opportunities and information. Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
