• 4 pm Position Salary Range Starting at $38 per hour Summary The Job Coach is one member of a two-person team of instructors in the Life Skills Employment and Education Program (LEEP) at the Howard County Detention Center. The Job Coach works with students to prepare for re-entry and gainful employment. The LEEP program has four six-week sessions during the year: August

• November January
• February April
• June The Job Coach works 12 hours per week for a total of 72 hours per session or 288 hours for the year.

Essential Role Responsibilities The qualified job coach will: Coach students to identify the job-related, adaptive, and transferrable skills they possess; Assist students in preparing a professional Resume and Cover Letter while building their digital literacy and technology skills; Prepare students in all aspects of a job interview, culminating in a mock interview; and Provide students with realistic ways to handle difficult questions relating to their incarceration in the most neutral way. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree Experience Required Minimum and Preferred Qualifications Physical Demand Summary Classes are held in the afternoons in the Howard County Detention Center in Jessup.
