Work & Community Support Specialists engage individuals in work, recreation, and other personal activities that promote living a preferred lifestyle in their community. Work & Community Support gives the individual the opportunity to participate in activities that will put them on a path to independence. A typical day might include the following:

+ Using your vehicle to transport individuals to and from work and volunteer sites (mileage reimbursement provided)

+ Provide long-term, on-site, job support for the duration of an individual's employment

+ Serve as their coach and advocate to foster success in the workplace

+ Support their participation in volunteer and/or other recreational activities to help develop self-advocacy, independent living and communication skills This position may interest you if:

+ You have previous experience in high-touch customer service environments

+ You thrive being part of a collaborative team, yet can work independently Career growth opportunities- potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience:

+ Management of a small team

+ Informal leadership in sports, clubs, or civic organizations Additional requirements include:

+ Valid driver's license and comfortable t ravel ing within your local community

+ Monday - Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)
