Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Vocational Coordinator Assistant / Job Coach to join our team to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and workforce integration. This role involves providing mentorship, training, and support to help clients develop essential job skills, navigate employment processes, and succeed in various work environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employment and labor laws, social work principles, and effective teaching methods to foster independence and confidence among clients. Responsibilities Assist in developing individualized employment plans tailored to each client's strengths and goals. Provide on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and support to clients during their work placements. Provide support to fellow employees and help guide and support their efforts in working with individuals Conduct interviews and assessments to identify client needs, skills, and potential barriers to employment. Collaborate with the Vocational Coordinator and help work with employers, community organizations, and service providers to create employment opportunities. Ensure compliance with applicable employment & labor laws and workplace regulations. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, progress reports, and program documentation. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and training & development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and employers alike. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate approach with a commitment to empowering clients toward independence. Must be organized with attention to detail in documentation and case management.

Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
