What You ll Do As an Employment Specialist, you will lead and implement all phases of vocational services, including:
- Developing individualized employment plans based on client strengths and goals
- Building relationships with local employers and community partners
- Identifying job opportunities and matching candidates to positions
- Supporting job placement, retention, and long-term success
- Educating employers about disability inclusion and workplace accommodations
- Maintaining knowledge of assistive technology and workplace supports
- Reviewing vocational, medical, educational, and psychological information to guide planning
- Conducting client orientations and weekly one-on-one goal meetings
- Participating in team planning meetings
- Completing documentation in compliance with program and funding guidelines This role blends job development, career coaching, advocacy, and case coordination. What You Bring Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver s license and current auto insurance
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks Preferred
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in social services, education, behavioral health, rehabilitation, human resources, marketing, or related field
- Experience in case management, employment services, sales, recruiting, HR, or workforce development
- Knowledge of disability services and community resources
