The WCE (Workforce and Continuing Education) Career Advisor and Enrollment Coach serves as the student navigator for WCE students and prospective students who need assistance determining which course, program, credential, or workforce training pathway best aligns with their interests, goals, prior experience, and career objectives. The position provides career exploration, program and course navigation, enrollment coaching, registration guidance, resource connection, appropriate referrals, and follow-through to help students move from uncertainty to a clear next step. The position also serves as the WCE Ambassador, coordinating and supporting division-wide marketing, outreach, recruitment, and communication efforts in partnership with the GTCC Marketing Specialist and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) staff. This responsibility includes helping expand WCE marketing bandwidth and capabilities through effective use of Element451 (E451) to strengthen program promotion, prospective-student engagement, targeted communications, and recruitment follow-up. The Career Advisor and Enrollment Coach maintains current working knowledge of WCE programs and collaborates with program directors, coordinators, faculty, Student Services, Human Resources Development (HRD), and other college areas to ensure students receive accurate information and are connected to the appropriate opportunity or resource. The position uses service, enrollment, outreach, and engagement information to identify recurring needs, improve student navigation and communications, and support movement toward enrollment and completion. This individual performs additional duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of WCE. Min Salary $54,222.94 Mid Salary $61,000.81 - We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. Compensation will be commensurate with your level of experience. Duties/Functions Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required Bachelor's degree in social science, education, social work, psychology, counseling, business, human resources/services, communication, or related field. Education Preferred Master's degree in social science, education, social work, psychology, counseling, business, human resources/services, communication, or related field. Experience Required One year of experience in career services, workforce development, technical training/education, and human resources or related field. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal communication skills Experience using technology and data to support customer/student service, outreach, communications, follow-up, recruitment, or enrollment-related processes. Experience Preferred Greater than one year of experience in career services, workforce development, technical education and training, and human resources or course of study work in related field. Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing/recruitment platforms, email/text communication tools, or other student/customer engagement systems; experience with Element451 is preferred. Experience developing or coordinating marketing/recruitment content, communications, campaigns, outreach initiatives, or cross-functional projects. Experience planning or supporting recruitment/community events and community outreach with agencies, employers, or industry representatives. KSA Required Demonstrated knowledge of career exploration, labor-market information, and pathways into workforce training and credential opportunities. Ability to serve as a student navigator for individuals who are unsure which WCE course, program, credential, or training pathway to pursue; ability to clarify goals, provide accurate guidance, and recognize when a subject-matter expert or another college resource is required. Ability to serve as a WCE Ambassador and coordinate marketing, outreach, recruitment, and communication efforts across multiple program areas in partnership with centralized Marketing and CRM staff, including effective use of Element451 (E451) and related engagement tools. Ability to coordinate follow-up and promote consistent student service across multiple WCE programs and referral channels. Ability to utilize inquiry, service, and enrollment data from multiple sources to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness, and make data-informed recommendations. Ability to work effectively with diverse WCE students, including under/unemployed adults, working professionals, underrepresented populations, and students transitioning from adult education/high school programs. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, community partners, and the public. Demonstrated good judgment and ability to support and enforce college policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and appropriately handle student information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively using sound judgment, analytical skills, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and follow-through. Ability to use personal computers, Microsoft Office, email, college systems, and other approved technology; ability to learn new systems and adapt to a changing workplace focused on access, enrollment, retention, and student success. KSA Preferred Able to identify and use data from a variety of sources for decision-making and planning. General knowledge of the history, philosophy, and mission of the community college system. Department/Job Specific Requirements Must become familiar with Datatel Colleague screens used for registration and records maintenance. Ability to work a flexible work schedule as determined by the supervisor to cover the necessary hours. Evening and weekend work will be required on occasions. Must be able to maneuver independently among offices, buildings, campus locations, and off-site locations as necessary to complete job requirements. Primary departmental work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday; a flexible work schedule will be determined by the supervisor when needed. Physical abilities are of a typical office environment involving: sitting, standing, keyboarding, and light lifting Other travel as required by the position. The following (compliance) training is required and must be completed within the first 30 days of hire with annual refresher training thereafter: Ethics Safety/Shooter on Campus Personal Information Protection Training (PIP) Anti-Discrimination/Harassment & Title IX Other training may be required as determined applicable.
