We are looking for a passionate counselor ready to build an exciting and safe environment for youth campers by leading games, songs, crafts, and other activities. Camp counselors are responsible for the direct supervision of campers, working with other staff to address the daily needs of a group of campers. We seek counselors with energy, flexibility, and leadership skills. Act as a positive role model, pay close attention to detail, build relationships with campers, adhere to, and enforce all Town of Morrisville and summer camp policies and other duties as necessary. Maintain a positive attitude. Lead and participate in activities with participants. Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, participants, and parents/guardians. • Monitor all participants for safety. Document any incident, accident, or behavior information. • Attend and participate in required training. Set-up, break down and work with others to sanitize/clean rooms and equipment daily. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, participants, and parents/guardians. Monitor all participants for safety. Document any incident, accident, or behavior information. Attend and participate in required training courses, and staff meetings. Modify activities as needed or provide reasonable accommodation for participation. Ensures that space and equipment used for the program is taken care of and left in good, clean condition daily. Creates an atmosphere that is fun, safe, friendly, and challenging. Required Qualifications Enrolled in high school or possess a GED Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience as a counselor or working with children
