Competitions Coordinator
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Competitions Coordinator assists the Marketing & Events Manager in planning, organizing & executing competitive shooting events. This position will be responsible for coordinating matches, supporting in operations management & ensuring range safety.RESPONSIBILITIES
Helping design stages, courses of fire and tournament schedules as well as performing safety briefings. Supervising shooting competitors and scorekeepers, ensuring they have necessary guidance and support. Building targets, barricades & stands. Coordinating range setup and breakdown, managing equipment checks, and verifying safety protocols before competition begins. Assisting with registration, squadding, tracking waivers, and compiling final match scores or reports. Mediating disputes or rule interpretations fairly, shielding front-line staff from competitor friction. Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company safety standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required, and work schedule will vary. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent is required Local candidates preferred One year of prior experience in weapons training One or more years of experience as a Range Safety Officer preferred Effective oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 80 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.Requirements:
