About JCI Johnston County Industries, Inc. (JCI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and barriers to employment through training, employment, and community-based services. Since 1975, JCI has helped people build skills, find employment, and achieve greater independence. Position Overview We are looking for a dependable and motivated CBVT Specialist (Youth Job Coach) to help high school students with disabilities prepare for employment, education, and life after graduation. This position provides career exploration, work readiness training, and on-site job coaching while helping students build the skills and confidence needed for success in the workplace. Essential Duties Administer career assessments to help students identify interests, strengths, and career goals. Provide on-site job coaching and support at community-based work sites. Provide work readiness training to students when they are not participating in community-based work experiences. Provide safe transportation for students to and from community-based work sites. Monitor and manage student behavior while providing appropriate support. Complete daily attendance and participation records. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student activities and progress. Communicate and work effectively with participating agencies, schools, community partners, and other professionals. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working with high school-aged students. Ability to communicate effectively with students, coworkers, agencies, and community partners. Ability to work independently with general supervision. Ability to maintain accurate and timely records. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and other computer programs. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in human services or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience compiling statistical data. Job Details Work involves providing services in schools and community-based work sites. Transportation of students to and from community-based sites is required. Non-Essential Functions Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
