23.00hr (Salary commensurate with experience)
35 hour work week
8:00 am
3:30 pm, occasional nights and weekends as needed (flex hours)
Jersey Cape Life Empowerment Hub is an Equal Opportunity Employer Jersey Cape Life Empowerment Hub is looking to hire an Employment Specialist to provide job coaching and job development services to youth and adults with barriers to employment due to a disability.

Employment Specialists help with tasks such as resume creation/building, the job application process, interview practice, support at job interviews, employment onboarding and orientation, and helping those we support learn new job tasks on job sites. Employment specialists may also help youth in GED program with on site tutoring or employment related activities. An Employment Specialist will also speak with supervisors on work sites as needed to make sure the person we are supporting is completing all assignments to the satisfaction of the employer to ensure long-term, gainful employment. Supported Employment at Jersey Cape Life Empowerment Hub uses a trauma-informed approach that strives to make job seeking an empowering experience. We help our job seekers build soft and hard skills that they can take with them anywhere their career leads them! Requirements:

Associate degree, Bachelor preferred
Applicants with three or more years of Employment Services experience in lieu of degree will still be strongly considered.
ASL or Spanish language skills encouraged to apply
Strong observational skills-Strong writing skills
Willingness to learn about new Employment Services practices and participate in continual learning courses
Passion for advocacy regarding equity and inclusion
Flexible schedule
nights and weekends are sometimes required
Valid Driver's License-Must have reliable transportation to travel to various worksites as needed, mileage reimbursed
