  • Testing Center is responsible for coordinating, conducting and assessing the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center of the College. This position offers a competitive starting salary of $50,000
  • $55,000along with a comprehensive college benefits package.

  • Testing may supervise professional, support staff and student workers.
Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center. Administer and assess approved testing services, including placement testing, approved testing accommodations, contracted testing, and other authorized testing services. Schedule and publicize center services. Monitor compliance with college and testing agency requirements. Immediately report testing irregularities, security breaches, or other compliance concerns. Collaborate with appropriate departments to support efficient testing processes, approved testing accommodations, student placement, and testing at off-campus locations. Address routine testing inquiries and problems. Promptly escalate score discrepancies, testing irregularities, suspected misconduct, testing exceptions, or placement concerns to the supervisor. Refer students to appropriate offices for additional support. Maintain, purchase, and routinely inventory testing materials and ensure their secure storage and return, as required. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student testing records, scores, and related data entered into Banner and other approved systems. Coordinate the maintenance and updating of computer software and hardware, of testing-related contracts and agreements. Serve as primary liaison between the Office of Information Technology and testing/software companies. Engage in professional development to maintain knowledge of current testing practices, requirements, and emerging trends, and communicate relevant changes and recommendations to the direct supervisor for consideration and implementation. Maintain testing data and prepare periodic reports on Testing Center activity, outcomes, discrepancies, and other operational measures as required. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of staff, student, and client records. Train and supervise assigned Testing Center staff and student workers and ensure adherence to approved Testing Center policies, procedures, and testing requirements. Performs other related duties as required. Bend, twist, climb, push, pull, and lift. Additional Requirements 1. Ability to work an extended, flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, according to demands of the role and tasks. Minimum Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities Bachelor's degree. Experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing, preferably in higher education at the community college level. Demonstrated ability to schedule and administer various standardized tests with demonstrated knowledge of standardized testing procedures, including the security and confidentiality of materials and scores. Demonstrated knowledge of web-based examination systems, preferably Accuplacer, CLEP, and TEAS. Working knowledge of computer software applications, preferably the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service with staff and students. Demonstrated ability to analyze questions and interpret and apply appropriate data/information to resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to give careful attention to detail and accuracy in performance. Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver's license, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities Bachelor's degree in related area. Three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing, preferably in student services for a higher education institution at the community college level. Demonstrated applied knowledge of statistics and data analysis. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects and to manage competing priorities in a complex setting. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record management and maintenance systems, preferably the Banner system.
