About the
Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving success in community-based employment. The ideal candidate is patient, motivated, and committed to empowering the people we serve to reach their highest level of independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-the-job training and support to individuals in community employment settings Help individuals learn job tasks, develop soft skills, and maintain workplace expectations Communicate regularly with employers, supervisors, and program staff Complete required documentation, progress notes, and data collection Assist individuals in problem-solving workplace challenges Transport individuals to and from job sites as needed Ensure adherence to OPWDD regulations and agency policies
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Previous experience in OPWDD, human services, or job coaching preferred but not required Must have a valid NYS driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and a clean driving record Ability to work independently and in the community Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to lift, bend, and provide physical support as needed
