Job Description

Description SANY's Utica Academy of Science Charter School is excited to announce the opening of a Behavior Specialist role for Junior-Senior High School (Grades 6-12). We have a great environment for new staff, and we encourage you to apply! We need a professional who will:
  • Consistently implement our code of conduct.
  • Train and educate all stakeholders about the implementation of the student code of conduct.
  • Be visible and accessible to the students and staff.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in behavior, make necessary adjustments, and implement an action plan.
  • Identify students with behavior and establish corrective plans for individuals or groups.
  • Develop positive relationships with the students and parents to foster a respectful and professional school environment.
  • Work with school counselors and teachers collaboratively to develop and help implement the RTI process for individuals or groups.
  • Support and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents while demonstrating a professional manner. What we can provide

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus.
  • Fingerprint clearance through
NYS Department of Education Competencies:
