Job description Make a difference in the life of an adult with autism and other developmental disabilities! Seeking a Job Coach to support developmentally disabled adults in the workforce. In this role you are responsible for providing hands on direct support training, guidance, and direction to program participants. Schedule is highly desirable hours, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (35 Hours Per Week - Full Time) Currently have 1 opening in North Salem, NY and 1 in Peekskill, NY. Identify strengths, skills and interests of participants, focusing on job readiness and soft skills Develop employment opportunities to match the right person with the right job Assist with creating resumes and preparing for job interviews Accompany applicants to the interview Assist with learning the job duties and the work environment Provide ongoing assistance through periodic work site visits Assist with social interactions on the job Applicants must be reliable, motivated, and conscientious. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel is required. This position requires traveling through Northern Westchester, Dutchess and Putnam counties. Experience in a vocation or life skills setting preferred. Paid vocational training through OPWDD will be provided.
