Job Description

Starting Non-Exempt Annual Salary:
$37,856 ($20.80 an hour) 35
Hour Work Week Benefits:
PTO - vacation (16-24 days a year based on longevity) Sick leave 12 days a year, and 13 paid holidays. Ability to work a 4-day schedule after 6 months on the job. Multiple work schedules available. Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to: Assist participants with job-readiness skills and job development including resume-building, communication, interviewing skills, and the employment application process. Discover the participant's skill set to ensure appropriate job matches. Network with local employers to increase opportunities for participants. Provide participants with on-the-job training including interaction with supervisors and co-workers. Provide ongoing advocacy and support to ensure long-term job retention and to facilitate career growth. Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of supports. Attend meetings, participate in community meetings and training as applicable.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred. Related experience may be considered in lieu of higher education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of or experience working with ADA, ACCES-VR, OPWDD, OMH and the employment market preferred. Experience in customer service and working with people with disabilities. Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
