Job Summary Are you a natural teacher? Are you a retired educator or coach who is looking to get back in the game and put those skills back to work? We are seeking a compassionate Job Developer & Job Coach who values integrity and who can empower individuals with disabilities and those from underserved communities to achieve meaningful employment. In this role, you will serve as a vital bridge between clients and the workforce, providing personalized coaching, job placement support, and ongoing mentorship. Your energetic approach will motivate clients to reach their full potential while ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws. Duties Develop tailored employment plans by assessing clients' skills, interests, and barriers to work, ensuring alignment with their goals and community needs Build strong relationships with local employers and community partners to identify job opportunities that match client capabilities Provide one-on-one coaching to prepare clients for interviews, develop resumes, and improve workplace skills through engaging training sessions Support clients in navigating workplace challenges by offering ongoing mentoring, social work interventions, and case management services Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor progress, address issues such as addiction or behavioral challenges, and adjust employment strategies accordingly Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, progress reports, and compliance with employment laws and program requirements Facilitate workshops on workforce development topics including social services access, disability rights, and cultural competency for diverse communities Experience Certified Job Developer would result in higher hourly pay. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other disabilities in a social services or workforce development setting Strong knowledge of employment & labor law as it relates to accommodating employees with disabilities and supporting inclusive workplaces Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, training & development of diverse populations from underserved communities Experience working with culturally diverse groups and understanding the unique barriers faced by marginalized populations Familiarity with case management practices, client communication strategies, interviewing techniques, and social work principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes Background in addiction counseling or related fields is highly desirable to support clients facing behavioral health challenges Excellent writing skills for preparing reports, resumes, and training materials that clearly communicate progress and goals Join us in transforming lives through dedicated workforce development!
