We are currently looking to fill two positions: Employment Transition Specialist

) What You'll Get to
Do:
Teach practical employment and life skills including communication, teamwork, time management, workplace etiquette, technology, and independent living skills. Help participants identify their strengths, interests, employment goals, and areas for growth. Support participant's during paid work experiences, volunteering, job trials, career exploration and other community-based opportunities. Assist in building resumes, practice interviewing and job-seeking skills. Create engaging lessons and activities that make learning practical, interactive and relevant to adult life. Encourage participants to take an active role in planning activities and making choices about their goals and experiences. Build relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, volunteer sites and other community partners to create meaningful opportunities. Coach participants through challenges, workplace expectations, problem-solving and conflict resolution. Foster a positive and respectful environment while supporting each participant's individual needs and goals. Plan and provide transportation to community outings and work experiences using SAW vehicles. Maintain required documentation of participant progress and program activities. You May be a Great Fit if
You:
Enjoy teaching, coaching, mentoring or helping others succeed. Are comfortable taking initiative and planning activities. Can motivate others while still encouraging them to be as independent as possible.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; degree preferred. Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers and technology including Windows, Microsoft Office, Smart Boards and basic databases. Ability to organize, problem-solve and manage multiple priorities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to arrive to work on time each day. Ability to pass required background checks.
