A Career Counselor works with adults of all ages to plan career choices and access the education and training needed to support a career. Gives skills assessment and aptitude tests to clients. Provides job search assistance or training for general workplace skills. Provides referrals for workplace literacy, academic or job training programs, or direct job referrals.
Part-time faculty are pooled positions; appointments are made on an as-needed/rolling basis. Summary of Position Teaches undergraduate courses in accounting. Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned at the YSU Steubenville location. Position Information Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments will be in person at the YSU Steubenville location.

Minimum Qualifications:
At least a master's degree in business or a related field; at least three years of professional field experience in accounting; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification(s) in accounting. Prior teaching experience.
Physical Requirements:
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary:
work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
