With a highly personalized clinical approach to treatment and a full continuum of care, we provide clients the tools needed to build a life in recovery that's enjoyable, fulfilling, and hopeful. Our nationally accredited treatment centers include Vogue Recovery Center, Footprints to Recovery, Royal Life Centers, and South Coast Behavioral Health. The primary responsibility of the Group Facilitator is to provide recovery-focused group services, reporting to the Clinical Director, to persons served. Services are provided through facilitating and documenting psychoeducational, process, and recovery-oriented groups for individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Group Facilitator serves as a positive role model in recovery, promotes client engagement in treatment, and helps clients develop healthy coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery support networks. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others achieve and maintain recovery. The Group Facilitator works closely with the clinical and medical teams to support treatment goals, encourage participation in programming, and foster a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients, including those participating in the Veterans Program.
Job Duties:
Facilitate and document psychoeducational, process, and recovery-focused groups. Encourage client participation and engagement in treatment programming. Assist clients in identifying healthy coping skills and recovery strategies. Support clients in achieving treatment plan goals through group interventions and peer support. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record. Uphold HIPAA, client confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times. Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and required trainings. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care and support client progress. Assist with crisis intervention and client support as directed by the clinical team. Support and implement SCBH philosophy with regard to all program components and maintenance of client dignity and respect. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED required. Current PRSS (Peer Recovery Support Specialist) Certification required. Experience working with individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders preferred. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Basic understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Knowledge of recovery principles and trauma-informed care preferred. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
