POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting for a Career Navigator position. This full-time position is located in Sapulpa, OK and pays $19 per hour . The Career Navigator provides integrated workforce planning and career services to job seekers, helping customers assess their skills and goals, develop employment plans, access training and education opportunities, and obtain and retain employment. The position manages a comprehensive caseload, coordinates with service providers, provides ongoing career guidance and employment support, conducts customer and site visits as needed, and maintains accurate case notes and records. The role requires strong customer service, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills , along with the ability to work effectively with diverse customers and service providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interview customers to assess ongoing service needs, obtain occupational information, and explore employment and training opportunities. Assist customers with self-assessment and identifying appropriate career and employment goals. Coach customers on effectively presenting themselves as employment candidates. Provide career advisement, including the development of individual employment and placement plans. Refer customers to appropriate employment opportunities, training programs, education programs, and supportive services. Assist customers with obtaining employment, advancing in their careers, and retaining employment. Develop, implement, maintain, and update individualized service plans based on customer needs. Manage a comprehensive caseload of job seekers and provide ongoing case management. Maintain regular contact with customers and service providers to monitor progress and address service needs. Serve as a liaison between customers and service providers. Coordinate service provider activities to support customer employment and training goals. Provide ongoing employment services and guidance to help participants obtain and retain employment. Conduct visits to customers' homes, training provider sites, and/or employment sites as required. Implement prescribed program-related procedures and maintain accurate case management documentation. Accurately document customer interactions and services through well-written case notes in automated systems. Ensure case files meet or exceed applicable program requirements. Prepare reports and other documentation as requested. Identify the unique needs and barriers of customers and make appropriate referrals to workshops, assessments, and internal programs. Promote an environment of inclusion and equitable access to services for all participants. Utilize Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers. Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management. Required Skills/Abilities Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use the Internet and Microsoft Office products. Keyboarding skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, service providers, coworkers, and other stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain an organized caseload. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs and barriers. Ability to learn and follow program procedures and requirements. Ability to handle sensitive customer information with professionalism and discretion. Bilingual candidates preferred. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field , or equivalent relevant experience required. Minimum of two years of customer service experience required. Experience in training and public speaking for diverse audiences preferred. Experience in workforce services, case management, career counseling, employment services, social services, or a related field preferred. Experience assisting individuals with employment, career planning, training, education, or supportive services preferred. Working knowledge of Workforce Service programs preferred. Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to carry/lift up to 5 pounds frequently, 10 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds occasionally . Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, reach, and move as required to perform essential job functions. Visual acuity, speech, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform essential job functions. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Ability to drive an automobile as required for customer and site visits. Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license required. Adequate vehicle insurance coverage required. Ability to travel to customers' homes, training provider sites, employment sites, and other locations as required. Ability to work schedules established by business and program requirements, including overtime when necessary.
