$18 per hour Position Summary The Job Coach plays a key role in empowering underserved populations by assisting them in securing meaningful employment. This position involves career counseling, job readiness training, employer engagement, and advocacy to help clients overcome employment barriers. The goal is to enhance economic independence and quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one career counseling, resume support, and job search assistance to seniors (age 55+) and individuals with disabilities. Assess client skills, interests, and employment goals to create individualized employment plans. Assist Lead Job Coach with job readiness workshops on topics such as interview skills, workplace etiquette, and digital literacy. Connect with clients with training programs, certification opportunities, or volunteer-to-work pathways. Assist clients with navigating reasonable accommodation request and ADA-related employment rights. Maintain accurate case notes, track employment outcomes, and report program metrics Attend job fairs, community events, and workforce development meetings.
Qualifications Required:
Associate or bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or within workforce development programs. Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by seniors and individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of ADA, disability rights, and senior employment programs (e.g., SCSEP, Ticket to Work) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and online job search tools. Compassionate, patient, and committed to equity and inclusion. Must have personal vehicle Valid Driver's license
Preferred:
Certification in Supported Employment (ACRE or OVR). Experience with IDD, OVR, or Mental Health populations, as well as case management software or CRM platforms. Bilingual (Spanish, ASL, or other languages). Knowledge of local community resources and employment programs. Working Conditions Office, remote, and fieldwork settings. Occasional travel to job sites or community partners. May require flexible hours for workshops or job fairs, including occasional evenings or weekends.
