On-Call Outreach Specialist:

Purpose:

Provide services to homeless individuals encountered in the Cafe during hours mandated by the City of Philadelphia's Coordinated Cafe Initiative. Engage homeless persons into accepting appropriate services, which may include the facilitation of voluntary/involuntary hospitalizations and/or referrals to other supports. Implement the overall mission, values and beliefs of Horizon House in all aspects of the job.

Supervision Received:

Receives direct supervision from the Supervisor, Hope Café.

Supervision Exercised:

N/A Requirements:

High School diploma or GED and a minimum of (3) years of relevant experience in substance abuse counseling; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required. Experience in working with Drug and Alcohol affected clients preferred Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
