Position:
Accounting Instructors Job Summary Corporate University (CU) is the training and employee development office of the FDIC and supports the FDIC's mission by designing, developing and implementing high-quality learning and development. CU develops and delivers training courses across a broad range of subjects and disciplines and through classroom and online delivery.
Accounting Instructors:
Education:
Master's degree in Accounting, Tax Accounting, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting.
Experience Level:
Minimum of five (5) years' instructing accounting for adult learners.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities. Ability to lead group discussions and exhibit sound judgement in making decisions. Experience in instructing accounting using the Microsoft Teams platform. Demonstrated ability to employ multiple teaching strategies in an online environment. Expertise in financial accounting and one secondary area (accounting information systems, data analytics, tax, and fraud/forensics).
Tasks:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Instructor must utilize CU-developed instructional materials to assure that all students taking the course, regardless of instructor, will benefit from the same support materials. Instructors may draw upon their own education and professional experiences to explain accounting concepts. Provide effective presentation and/or facilitation of the course materials. Discuss any concerns or observations with course materials or any classroom issues with the Oversight Manager, Bank Examination Training Specialist, or any Technical Monitors as assigned.
