We focus on HVAC and Electrical. We're looking for someone who's lived the trade to keep our students on track and help them land their first job. This isn't a teaching role. You're the person who checks in, celebrates wins, pushes students who've gone quiet to get back on the tools, and helps graduates get hired. If helping someone completely change the trajectory of their life gets you fired up, this role is for you. How to apply Send your resume and a short paragraph on why you're stoked about this opportunity to What you'll do Track student progress against Moodle checkpoints (readings, quizzes, submissions) every week Reach out by text, Discord, or email to students falling behind before they fall further Celebrate completions and milestones in the cohort Discord Flag students who are seriously stuck or at risk of dropping to program leadership Help graduates get job-ready: resume tune-ups, interview prep, what to expect on day one Connect graduates with staffing partners, contractors, and employers, and follow up until they're working Send a short weekly progress and placement update to leadership
Optional:
meet with local contractors and employers in person to build hiring relationships for TRDZ grads Who fits Currently working in, or recently worked in, a skilled trade (electrical, HVAC or plumbing preferred), or a TRDZ graduate Has contacts in the trades and isn't shy about picking up the phone for a student Naturally follows up and doesn't let things slide Comfortable with Discord, texting, and learning Moodle Recruiting, apprenticeship coordination, or mentoring experience is a plus Hours & pay 5-10 hrs/week, set your own hours around a consistent weekly check-in schedule $25-30/hr, plus a bonus for each graduate you help get hired (still working at 30 days) Room to grow: if you enjoy the employer outreach side, there's opportunity to take on more hours as our placement network expands
