Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate FCS Supported Employment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other barriers to employment achieve their career goals. Your energy and expertise will drive success in workforce development initiatives, ensuring clients receive tailored support to secure and maintain meaningful employment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact while developing your skills in social work, case management, and client coaching. Duties Provide individualized supported employment services to clients with disabilities, including job search assistance, resume building, interview preparation, and ongoing coaching. Develop and implement customized employment plans that align with each client's strengths, interests, and community opportunities. Collaborate with employers, community agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate job placements and foster inclusive work environments. Conduct assessments to identify client needs related to workplace accommodations, transportation, social skills, and personal development. Offer mentoring, training & development sessions to enhance clients' employability skills and independence. Maintain detailed case management records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and labor laws. Advocate for clients' rights within the workplace and provide ongoing support to ensure long-term employment success. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other barriers to employment. Knowledge of employment & labor law as it relates to supporting individuals with disabilities in the workplace. Strong understanding of social services, workforce development programs, and community resources. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, employer engagement, and team collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Background in coaching, mentoring, case management, or social work preferred. Experience conducting interviews, providing training & development sessions, and writing detailed reports.
