Job Description

We are seeking passionate and results-driven Career Coaches to mentor and support adult learners pursuing careers in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will guide participants through career readiness preparation, financial literacy education, and industry-specific coaching, ensuring individuals are equipped with the tools to succeed in high-demand manufacturing roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Career Coaching & Mentorship Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions to adult learners to support their career goals in the manufacturing sector. Assist clients in identifying career pathways, setting goals, and creating action plans. Offer guidance on resume writing, job search strategies, application processes, and interview preparation. Career Readiness Training Facilitate workshops and training on soft skills, communication, time management, and workplace professionalism. Help students understand workplace expectations in the manufacturing industry. Financial Literacy Education Deliver foundational training in personal finance topics including budgeting, credit management, saving, and understanding paychecks. Refer participants to community-based financial resources when appropriate. Industry Engagement Stay informed on local and regional manufacturing trends, employer needs, and labor market data. Coordinate with employers and training providers to ensure alignment between participant preparation and workforce demands. Program Tracking & Reporting Maintain accurate records of participant engagement, progress, and employment outcomes. Provide regular updates to program leadership and participate in team meetings and professional development.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients effectively. Excellent listening abilities to understand client needs and concerns thoroughly. Knowledge of career development theories and practices is preferred. Proficiency in resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies. Ability to motivate and inspire clients toward achieving their career goals. Organizational skills to manage multiple clients and track progress efficiently. At least two years of experience providing career coaching, case management, or workforce readiness support to adults. Knowledge of the manufacturing sector, including career pathways, employer expectations, and technical skills. Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts. Commitment to supporting diverse, underserved populations and promoting economic mobility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with adult learners or non-traditional students. Bilingual proficiency is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
