Part-Time About CodeSquad:

CodeSquad is a nonprofit organization that provides free, intensive training to talented adults from underserved communities, preparing them for careers in development. We also support graduates in securing internships and full-time employment. About the

Role:

CodeSquad is seeking a part-time Job Developer to support graduates in achieving their career goals through employer outreach, job development, and placement support. The Job Developer will build relationships with employers and hiring managers, identify employment opportunities that align with graduates' skills and career goals, and develop long-term employer partnerships.

• Candidates must be available for in-person meetings in Somerville, MA (Quarterly or Monthly) Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with employers, hiring managers, and community partners. Identify job and internship opportunities that align with graduates' technical skills and career goals. Develop and maintain a pipeline of employers interested in hiring software and web development talent. Connect graduates with job fairs, networking opportunities, and potential employers. Support graduate employment efforts by coordinating with mentors and community partners. Track employer outreach, job opportunities, referrals, and placement activities. Maintain a dashboard of progress and activities for staff and management review. From time to time, present activities and progress to Management team. Provide ongoing support to graduates throughout the job search and placement process.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in job development, career services, recruiting, workforce development, or a related field. Experience developing employer relationships and identifying employment opportunities. Experience supporting candidates pursuing careers in web development, software development, or other technical roles required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong written, verbal, and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of recruitment and hiring processes. Experience working with diverse communities and job seekers. Strong organizational, project management, and follow-through skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Understanding of software development roles and common technical skills required.

Compensation & Schedule:
Part-time:

10-15 hours per week. $22-$25/hourly. Monday-Friday with flexible scheduling Primarily remote Monthly or quarterly in-person meetings as needed Must be a Massachusetts resident Must have a computer and reliable internet connection How to
