Per Diem is on an as needed basis not to exceed (120) hours per month in which there is a cohort, not to exceed (900) hours per calendar year.

Hybrid The position is defined as a hybrid position: Live in the Puget Sound Regionof the State of Washington with a reasonable commute to Renton, WA. Approximately 60% of the work is in-person in various partner locations, 40% is telework from home, and 10% at office. Must go to partner locations or come into the office on an as-needed basis. The Healthcare Training Fund (Training Fund) is a non-profit, labor/management partnership including eight major healthcare employers and the largest healthcare union in Washington State. The Training Fund was formed in 2008 and is a statewide program that addresses the workforce needs of participating employers and supports the career, knowledge, and skill aspirations of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members. The Training Fund is the sponsor of the state-registered Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) and of the Virtual Healthcare Institute (VHI) serving a range of regional employers, unions, union members, and student candidates. The Per Diem Healthcare Foundation Navigator works on an as needed basis and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of a variety of Training Fund (TF) and Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) Apprenticeship and additional healthcare education/workforce development programs and services to members in the Greater Seattle Region along with other regions as assigned. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Manager of Programs to provide community resources and guidance to eligible healthcare workers, adhere to Training Fund benefit administration processes, and facilitate outreach and projects in relation to the assigned region. The Per Deim Healthcare Foundation Navigator in collaboration with the internal team works to build lasting partnerships with our members, the union, employers and community partners. Candidates will be evaluated on the full range of their lived and learned experience, professional background, volunteer experience, and direct and transferable skills. Incumbent must have the skills, abilities and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Facilitate (instruct) IHAP cohorts alongside other instructors/content experts.
- Provide programmatic support for IHAP.
- Supports the retention of working adult students in education programs from initial enrollment in IHAP to job placement/apprenticeship, assisting to remove barriers to member success, including completing referrals and the coordination of services.
- Coordinates and executes programs, benefits, and services over a specific geographic area and/or with specifically assigned groups.
- Connect regularly with members to assess needs and eligible supportive services.
- In collaboration with the Outreach Team, facilitate outreach events and field work for the assigned geographic region.
- In collaboration with the Education Services Lead, connects members to services provided through the Training Fund (including tutoring English language learning and basic skills) and Community resources.
- In conjunction with the administration team, assures the accuracy and completeness of data collected for the program, including data pertaining to eligibility, employer utilization and student outcomes.
- In collaboration with other Training Fund staff and teams, collects and reviews data for monthly and annual program reports.
- Build partnership in the community to be able to provide external referrals and coordinated services for member support and retention; this includes resources connected with childcare, housing resources, transportation etc.
- Coordinates with Training Fund staff assigned to deliver programs targeted for members in the region and/or with specifically assigned groups.
- Coordinate and administrate the IHAP and ACET program operations to include program scheduling, ordering/delivery of program materials and equipment, student enrollment, support service coordination, tours, safety, and other curriculum and administrative tasks related to high quality program delivery.
- Provides retention services for IHAP, NAC and other foundational programs (i.e. case management).
- Ability to assess, critique, create, and edit resumes and cover letters, with working knowledge of various types of resumes.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple activities required.
- Demonstrated understanding of local communities, labor market, local industries, and employers, Work Source system, social service and education institutions in partnership with the Regional Career Navigators.
- Ability to provide coaching, support and advocacy for individuals seeking employment and training opportunities to advance their career growth.
- Ability to critically assess situations and tactfully handle challenging situations.
- May be required to make presentations to members, partners, or other audiences.
- May participate as a member of a team that analyzes program performance, member experiences, and recommends procedures and new systems to improve efficiency and outcomes.

- Associates Degree and 3 plus years' experience preferably in adult education, social services, healthcare or related field, or equivalent lived experience and/or professional related to job skills and duties.
- Bachelors (or equivalent demonstrated experience) preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required.
- Experience with case management databases (preferred).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate the TF's facilities, partner organizations, and classroom locations
Compensation Range:
$35.87 - $41.72/hr.
