Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Supported Employment Specialist dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve meaningful employment opportunities. In this role, you will serve as a vital connector between clients and the workforce, providing tailored support, coaching, and guidance to help clients overcome barriers and succeed in competitive employment settings. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and foster independence among diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, and individuals from underserved communities. Responsibilities Develop individualized employment plans by assessing client skills, interests, and barriers through comprehensive interviews and case management techniques. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to clients to enhance job readiness, social skills, and workplace behaviors. Collaborate with employers, community partners, and stakeholders to identify suitable job placements aligned with client goals. Educate clients on employment rights, labor laws, and workplace expectations to ensure informed decision-making. Support clients in navigating workplace challenges by offering problem-solving strategies and conflict resolution guidance. Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, employment outcomes, and service activities using Microsoft Office tools. Advocate for clients' needs within the workforce development system while promoting inclusive hiring practices across diverse communities. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in social services or employment support roles. Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws relevant to supporting individuals with disabilities in the workplace. Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations to promote equitable access to employment opportunities. Background in coaching, mentoring, training & development, case management, or social work is highly desirable. Familiarity with workforce development programs and addiction counseling is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
