As a coach you will foster motivation, provide personalized support, and facilitate pathways to meaningful employment. Responsibilities Deliver engaging career coaching sessions to individuals and groups, utilizing effective public speaking and presentation skills. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' skills, interests, and aspirations to develop tailored person-centered career plans. Assist clients with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies using tools like Grammarly, AI, and other web-based options. Mentor clients through the soft skills development process, including advising on ways to communicate and techniques to help clients self-advocate. Facilitate workshops on career exploration, employment readiness, and professional development topics. Maintain detailed records of coaching sessions, progress reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with state regulations and mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with employers, and community partners to coordinate recruitment events, internships, and job fairs that connect clients with employment opportunities. Experience Proven experience working with marginalized populations using person-centered techniques and person-centered plans. Personal experience working in the private sector in a for-profit corporation. Experience public speaking, interviewing techniques, mentoring, and group facilitation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent communication skills complemented by strong analysis skills to interpret client needs and develop actionable plans.
