Job Description

Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, carries out pre-admission screening of patients referred for Comprehensive Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation to determine appropriateness of admission. Serves as liaison between sources and the Center and conducts marketing efforts when possible for Southern New England Rehabilitation Center.
Education:
Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree and/or Masters preferred.
Licensure:
Active RI license as either Rehab Professional or Registered Nurse.
Experience:
Three years (plus) in Clinical Management, Performance Improvement and Regulatory Compliance.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently as well as part of a treatment team. Ability to use judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Skills in organization and priority setting. Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines. Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers. Safety Requirements:
This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs., pushing and pulling, and requires standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity.
