Job Description

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor's degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown. The Student Affairs Division at Horry-Georgetown Technical College invites applications for an Academic Coach under our SSS Grant. The Academic Coach will be under the supervision of the Director of Student Support Services. The Academic Coach must have the ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals; be comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds; have knowledge of academic and financial aid procedures and have the ability to plan and adhere to schedules. The Academic Coach will be responsible for: Implementing operational plans for the Student Support Services grant Developing and delivering programs Providing services for participants in the Student Support Services grant.

Advertised Salary:

$38,985 (Minimum)- $55,559 (Midpoint)

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals. Must be comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds. Must have knowledge of academic and financial aid procedures. Special Instructions to
