POSITION SUMMARY
Provides employment readiness and placement support to clients by assisting with job skills development, employment matching, workplace preparation, and job retention. Monitors employment status, coordinates with employers, and provides transportation and resource support as needed. Maintains accurate documentation and communicates with staff and referral partners to support client employment success and stability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Substance Use/Addiction, Human Resources, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education and four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered. Must be 21 years or older.
SKILLS:
Fluency in written and spoken English required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in computer operations and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Current CPR certification preferred; applicants without it must complete training within their 90-day orientation period. Community Health Worker (CHW) certification preferred. Valid driver's license required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will involve interaction with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, crisis situations, or other challenging behaviors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
WORK SCHEDULE
Primarily Monday through Friday during daytime office hours. Some evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required as needed to support operational and program needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assist clients in developing employment readiness skills, including resume writing, job applications, interview preparation, professional communication, and workplace expectations. 2. Evaluate client skills and aptitudes to match employment opportunities and support successful job placement and retention. 3. Monitor client employment status, verify employment activity and paychecks, and communicate with employers and staff regarding client work performance and payroll information as needed. 4. Assist clients in obtaining employment-related items such as clothing and provide transportation support for employment needs in accordance with agency policies and procedures. 5. Maintain HIPAA compliance, accurate employment records, document services provided, and ensure all required reporting is completed in accordance with contractual and agency requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide clients with information regarding employee rights, collaborate with outside partners, and make referrals to external resources as needed. 2. Attend required trainings to maintain compliance and enhance job-related skills. 3.
