The Reentry Specialist (RS) serves as a liaison, coordination and direct service position to substance abuse services. This person would be responsible for coordination of care services which assist a service recipient in identifying, accessing, and coordination of resources that are supportive in achieving the service recipient's treatment and recovery goals. Coordination of services will be centered around the GAINS Reentry domains; recovery capital scale on a micro, mezzo, and macro level; employment facilitation; and access/facilitation to treatment levels of care per individualized needs. The RS would offer skills building such as budgeting, employment, employment preparedness, parenting, personal growth, responsible decision making. The RS can provide information to enhance skills that would assist the client in recognizing early signs that may lead to relapse and to develop methods to counteract these triggers. The RS will also be able to provide spiritual support as an integral part of their recovery and practices and principles in establishing greater resiliency and healthy coping strategies. The RS will be assigned a case load with responsibilities for in person jail classes, virtual jail classes, coordinating and providing case management according to the re-entry case management plan. They would be responsible for co-facilitation of psych-educational groups in outpatient settings as well as detention facilities. The RS will work to create an integrated re-entry plan including family support and the complex dynamics of interpersonal relationships in the context of recovery support and barriers. The RS must participate in clinical and staff supervision and implement all recommendations. The RS is required to complete all documentation associated with the services provided in a timely manner.
Population Served:
This population involves (direct or indirect) client care for a population that includes males and females who are experiencing challenges due to substance use disorder, co-occurring leading to criminal justice involvement, incarceration, and other system involvement typically in a generational pattern of moderate to high-risk behaviors and needs.
Valid State driver's license in good standing. Must obtain an F endorsement on their license for transportation services. Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CPRS) may be required and or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) track may be required. Have a clean background check. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must possess strong organizational skills; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to build positive relationships on a micro, mezzo, and macro level. Must be willing to participate in a professional development plan.
