Two years of experience in recordkeeping, data tracking, or working with database applications in nursing or in a closely related field; five years preferred. Demonstrated commitment to student or customer-centered approaches and student success. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs highly advanced specialist duties requiring in-depth knowledge to maintain the credentialing requirements of all members of the SHSU School of Nursing ( SON ) community. Primary Responsibilities Works with the nursing clinical coordinator and clinical partners, along with the Assistant Director for Clinical Education and nursing faculty to facilitate and assure the timely credentialing for faculty and student clinical rotations. Collaborates with clinical and simulation team to prepare semester clinical and simulation scheduling for students. Coordinates the day-to-day credentialing activities to assure students, faculty, and staff remain in compliance with School of Nursing, regulatory, and clinical affiliates requirements. Oversees the credentialing process for nursing preceptors. Supports the clinical education by continually updating and advising faculty, preceptors, and students of credentialing dates and needs. Works with data management systems with high degree of accuracy. Positively engages with all members of the SHSU School of Nursing ( SON ) and the community to encourage safety and compliance, student success, accountability, and proactive problem resolution. Prepares reports and clinical rosters for affiliate partners. In collaboration with SON leaders, continuously improves the systems and processes associated with credentialing. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office systems. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement.
