Employment Specialist (Job Coach/Job Developer) Kulshan Supported Employment Bellingham, WA Job Details Full-time $23 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Retirement plan Qualifications Driver's License Bachelor's degree Performing background checks Working with adult populations Community relationship building Full Job Description Employment Specialist (Job Coach/Job Developer) Kulshan Supported Employment is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to support adults with developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining meaningful employment in our community. This role combines job coaching and job development. The ideal candidate will provide on-the-job training and coaching to help clients succeed in their vocational goals, while also working within the community to build relationships with employers and identify job opportunities. This is a dynamic hands-on position that requires flexibility. Candidates must be available to work during client work hours. The anticipated schedule is Saturday through Wednesday. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide job coaching and on-site support to clients
  • Assist clients in developing skills for long-term employment success
  • Support clients in maintaining employment
  • Build relationships with local employers
  • Collaborate with families, employers, family members and support staff Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Must represent Kulshan professionally
  • Self-motivated and adaptable in new situations
  • Willingness to work in community settings
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed
  • Must be 18 or over
  • Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with
WAC 388-113-0020
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR experience working with adults with developmental disabilities Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting at $23.00/hr
