This program receives federal funding and offers a range of services to ensure their success.

TRIO SSS
Program's mission by providing direct service to our students. Working under general direction, this position requires utilizing specific knowledge and experience related to the program, as well as the college's enrollment, advising, and financial aid processes. The role involves managing assigned TRIO participants and exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations. Additionally, the Specialist will assist in providing drop-in tutoring, coordinating program activities, and ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives for SSS.

Duties and Responsibilities Identify and select eligible Program participants, conduct a comprehensive needs assessment, and develop an education plan Maintain regular meetings with students, monitor progress and the effectiveness of services Provide academic, social, and recreational advisement to promote a more enriching experience Provide academic advising to the exploratory pathway (undecided) TRIO participants Knowledge of financial aid resources, scholarships, and application assistance Provide academic and career planning and advising, including 4-year college admission Provide tutoring in pre-college and college-level coursework (Math, Science, or Writing) Assist students in developing skills to improve academic outcomes: test-taking, note-taking, reducing anxiety, and talking with instructors.
