Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals seeking employment opportunities. In this role, you will serve as a dedicated advocate and resource, helping clients navigate the job market, develop essential skills, and achieve their employment goals. Duties Collaborate with clients to assess their employment needs, skills, and interests through comprehensive interviews and assessments. Develop personalized employment plans that align with each individual's strengths, preferences, and goals. Provide coaching on job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette to enhance employability. Connect clients with local employers, community resources, training programs, and supportive services to facilitate successful job placements. Support clients in understanding and navigating employment & labor laws to ensure compliance and protect their rights. Offer ongoing mentoring and follow-up support post-placement to promote retention and job satisfaction. Conduct workshops on workforce development topics such as soft skills training, addiction counseling awareness, and social work principles. Recruit new clients through outreach initiatives, community events, and partnerships with local organizations. Train colleagues and volunteers on best practices for working with people with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain detailed records of client progress, employment outcomes, and service delivery in compliance with organizational policies. Skills Strong knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure legal compliance in all job placement activities. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism to provide tailored support that respects individual needs. Background in addiction counseling or related mental health support to address barriers to employment. Excellent teaching abilities to deliver engaging training sessions on job readiness skills. Proven expertise in workforce development strategies that promote sustainable employment opportunities. Solid understanding of social work principles to foster supportive relationships with clients. Skilled interviewing techniques for assessing client strengths and challenges effectively. Ability to mentor clients through ongoing guidance and motivation during their employment journey. Effective recruiting skills for building partnerships with employers and community organizations. Competence in training & development practices to enhance team capabilities and client success outcomes. Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Application Question(s): How would you assist a client in developing the skills needed to obtain and keep a job?
